How to connect your domain to our website hosting

This tutorial will work with most domain registrars. Additional help can be received by creating a ticket. In this guide, we will be showing how to connect your domain with both Namecheap and Freenom.

Changing Your Nameservers

Namecheap

Log into your account for your domain registrar and go into your domain's control panel.

In Namecheap's case, you would go to Account -> Dashboard

and then log in. After you've signed in, click "Manage" on the domain you want to select.

By default, it will be using Namecheap BasicDNS as seen below.

Click on the namservers dropdown and click "Custom DNS".

Fill in the boxes as shown below.

note: some people have been having issues with these nameservers. If they aren't working properly or if they are erroring, please use these instead:

ns1.reliablewebhosting.co.uk

ns2.reliablewebhosting.co.uk

Click on the green check mark and you are ready to go!

It may take up to 48 hours for everything to fully set in.

Freenom

You would go to Services -> My Domains

Then, click "Manage Domain" on the domain you want to use.

You will then be at this page:

Go ahead and click "Management Tools". Then, click on "Nameservers".

You should see this:

Click on "Use custom nameservers (enter below)".

Fill the boxes in with these details and click "Change Nameservers".

You then should see a "Changes Saved Successfully!" box.

It may take up to 48 hours for everything to fully set in.

Connecting it with cPanel

Setting it up as the primary domain

While purchasing your website hosting, enter the domain you wanted to use.

This will automatically set it up as your primary domain.

Setting it up as an add-on domain

If you want to set it up as an add-on domain, go to your website hosting management panel. This will be available after your order is accepted.

Click on "Addon domains"

Enter in your domain, in this case it's bubbleteas.club.

If it comes up with an error, then your nameservers are incorrect or you haven't waited 48 hours.

Uploading your website

Go to your FroHost management panel and click on "File Manager"

It should bring you up to this page:

Go into public_html and upload your website files. If you've used an add-on domain, there should be a folder with your add-on domain. Upload your website to that add-on domain's folder (if you want to use your add-on domain).

Go up to the left hand folder and click the File option with the + symbol.

Type in the file name, in this case it'll be index.html. After it's done creating, go up to the top and click "edit".

Click "edit" again.

You should be brought up to your editor in which you can modify index.html.

Once your done, you can click save and it should appear on your website.
